LONDON: Prince Harry has been sent on an equality and diversity course by the British Army after being heard on video using offensive language to describe a Pakistani army colleague.
Harry had called a colleague as "our little Paki friend".
Military officials are reportedly concerned that the Prince's reputation as an Army officer is being damaged by his racially sensitive comments, the Daily Telegraph reported.
He has been formally disciplined for calling his Sandhurst colleague Ahmed Raza Khan a "Paki" in a video, and referring to another officer cadet as a "raghead".
The equality and diversity course is intended to teach him how offensive his remarks were.
It will be the second time Prince Harry has been asked to attend such a course, but the newspaper quoted sources to say that the training this time will be more intensive.
Prince Harry attended his first equality course when he joined the Army, a requirement for all new recruits.
His remarks have also been be written permanently into his Army record.
But a senior military insider told The Mirror that the Prince's military career "will not suffer" because of the action.
"Although this matter will go on Harry's record it will not go against him," he said.
